The breakfast was excellent and the staff is mostly very efficient and friendly. Although there were many customers it worked great with no waiting times or absence of breakfast products.

Lots of goodies for breakfast. Compact & spotless unit on third floor-window high up.
The property needs renewing.

Wonderful old old-fashioned property with especially helpful staff with minimal command of English which led to problems regarding service. Location - wonderful, really close to the center of Harrogate and other restaurants.

Consider requesting a room closer to common areas to avoid long walks, especially during busy or inclement weather.

I loved how close the hotel was to the gorgeous St Peter's Church, just a short walk away, and the beautiful Royal Pump Room Museum, made my weekend explorations so rewarding. It really reminded me of a good escape right in the heart of Harrogate. The historic charm of the building adds a lovely touch, perfect for any single traveler looking for a cozy and cute base amidst all the city's attractions.

The club room we were given was large, bright and very comfortable. The staff at the hotel were both friendly and helpful. The centre of Harrogate was a short walk away but if prefered there was a 36 bus service from just outside the hotel that ran every 15mins and also went to and from the station. The Hotel building is spacious and the lift worked well. There was plenty of car parking and the hotel is set well back from the road so traffic noise was not a problem. A relaxing, friendly setting for a three day city break.
The breakfast was reasonable but the continental aspect was limited no cheese, no cold meats. The Menu listed additional items that could be requested at no extra cost which did improve the choices. Would like to have known if the large bowl of plain yoghurt contained live cultures, a lable or small pots would be useful.
